Year 3 2024 - 2025

Mrs Slater

Mrs Slater

Year 3 Teacher

Hello,

I’m Mrs Slater and I am delighted to be your Year 3 teacher. I look froward to starting our journey together in September, supporting each of you throughout the year and teaching a huge variety of exciting lessons.

We will continue to have a specialist sports coach (Sports Coaching Group) for PE on a Tuesday and a further P.E slot on Friday with myself, so will need to come dressed in their kits for both of these days. Mr. Stannard will also be teaching music on a Wednesday, and Madame Carter teaching French on a Thursday.

As well as learning the Core Subjects of English, Maths, Science and RE, we have lots of amazing topics planned, which we will be exploring throughout the year.

Reading and Homework.

As reading is an essential tool to exercise your mind and increase knowledge, over the course of the year, I encourage you to read as often as possible for 15 minutes at least 5 times per week. Please ensure each time you read it is logged in Boom reader. Please also have a look at the ‘100 books to read before you leave Lower Peover’.

Homework will be sent home every Friday. There will be an activity to complete in a CGP Maths or English Book and spellings and times tables to complete. These will be due in every Wednesday.
